Rushfaster EDC Backpack

Sale price$110.00 USD
Colour: Green

Built for those who keep their daily carry light by choice. Our EDC Backpack is our most minimal backpack and is perfect for those carrying a laptop, tablet, jumper, lunch, a water bottle and a few other accessories. By keeping things to the essentials, we got the weight down to just 770 grams, which reduces fatigue when carrying. What we didn't remove was quality - Bluesign-approved Cordura fabric, YKK zips with Hypalon pull tabs and, our favourite feature - the divided quick access pocket to keep your shades and AirPods scratch-free.

#Colour_GreenDescription

This backpack is also available as a bundle system.

Most EDC backpacks are over-engineered — packed with features that never get used, and heavier for it. If you're a day-to-day essentialist with your carry setup, you need a bag engineered to match your needs, not exceed them. That's what this bag is.

We engineered this backpack with restraint. We cut any feature that wouldn't add value to the essentialist. The result is a lightweight carry system featuring: a padded 16" laptop sleeve, a tablet/keyboard sleeve with a pen/Apple Pencil holder, a divided quick-access pocket for sunglasses and AirPods (kept apart, so nothing gets scratched), an integrated key holder, and a hidden AirTag slot. The water bottle pocket lives inside the bag, for an exterior clean enough to walk into any corporate office without a second look.

At 770 grams, our EDC Backpack is genuinely lightweight — no over-engineering, no dead weight you're carrying just in case. Less demand on your shoulders by 5pm. You feel it in the small things too: the YKK AquaGuard zippers pull smooth and guard against rain ingress, the straps sit balanced on your shoulders and have the right amount of cushioning.

Built from weatherproof Bluesign-approved DWR 420D Cordura, with no intentional PFC/PFAS in the fabric — this is quality that doesn't cost the environment to get there. YKK zippers with Hypalon pull tabs mean dependable, one-handed access every time.

Twenty litres, no unnecessary complications, nothing you don't need — just ultra lightweight carry. But it's not for everyone: if your carry requirements are greater than this — more gear, more organisation, an external water bottle pocket — that's exactly what the Rushfaster EDC Pro Backpack is built for.

Works well with the following products:
Rushfaster Laptop Sleeves
Rushfaster Pencil Case
Rushfaster Essential Tech Pouch

Simple yet everything you need in a EDC Backpack

I love this EDC Backpack for its functionality and it's simple low profile appearance. I was not sure about having my large water bottle put inside the bag, but it doesn't take up any space as feared - it makes the Backpack look nicer without the external sleeve. Highly recommended.

Thanks for the awesome review! We're thrilled the backpack works so well for you and we totally agree, the sleek look is a win! Appreciate the recommendation!

The EDC backpack make me surprise

I’m really happy with this backpack. It looks very cool, and the colour actually looks even better in person than it does in the photos.

One of my favourite features is the internal water bottle pocket. I really like being able to keep my bottle inside the bag rather than having it hanging off the side. There’s also more than enough room for both my iPad and MacBook, and I especially like the small dedicated compartment where I can keep things like my cards and earphones organised and easy to reach.

Overall, it’s a stylish and well-designed EDC backpack that works perfectly for my everyday needs.

Thank you so much for the detailed review! We’re thrilled you’re loving the design, colour, and thoughtful organisation of the EDC Backpack. Appreciate your support!

Rushfaster EDC Backpack

Backpack is perfect for what I needed as a everyday bag. It has a lot of compartments and I was quite surprise how much i could fit in the backpack.

Hey Simon, awesome to hear! 😄 The EDC Backpack really packs a punch with all its compartments, and it’s great to know it’s fitting everything you need for your daily adventures.

A lot to like

If done plenty of research on this bag before taking the plunge. From the moment I took it out of its shipping packaging I was impressed, the videos I’d watched spoke of the quality of the materials…from the right amount of squishiness in the straps to the quality material used on the inner lining. I got the green colour and love it. I know, this is just positives and no negatives, the reason for that is because I’d done my research and weighed this backpack up against some heavy hitters, and it ticked all the boxes for my EDC.

We love hearing how much thought you put into choosing your bag. Hope you enjoy every day with it 😊

Disappointing backpack

Pros:
- No mesh backing, thankfully. Backpack mesh has ruined some of my clothes in the past, due it being abrasive against the clothing fabric and creating pilling. I initially looked at the EDC Pro version, but it had mesh, so no thanks.

- Most of the interior lining is a light colour which makes it much easier to see your items in low light. This is a thoughtful design choice that shows experience on the designer's part, and it baffles me when established brands overlook this.

- The EDC Backpack has an interior water bottle pocket which is handy for keeping the bottle in place and containing any incidental condensation. I found the pocket large enough for easy in-and-out use with a typical 600ml PET bottle. I'm glad it doesn't have an external bottle holder, which I wouldn't use anyway. I got this backpack mainly for work, not to look like a tourist.

- The backpack's main fabric both on the interior and exterior seems strong and durable.

Cons:
- The zips are small and don't feel robust. The metal zips have a cheap-feeling flexible tag attached to assist with zipping, but the tag feels thin and unsatisfying in the hand when opening and closing a pocket, especially when combined with the tiny zips.
I often find it awkward to zip the pockets with one hand due to the small size of both the zip and the zip channel. I frequently need to hold the bag just right with my other hand, in order to get the zip teeth to line up straight enough to close.
This was annoying when travelling, as I needed to frequently access my passport and other items. One might argue that it makes your bag more secure, but there are other ways to do this without it being a daily frustration.

- The backpack has a fabric handle at the top for carrying. This is just one strip of fabric with no foam interior or thickness to provide a confident (and comfortable) grip. The handle becomes more uncomfortable to use when the bag gets heavier, such as when carying a laptop. It makes the bag feel cheap.

Other caveats:
- This backpack really needs another pocket for small items. I find the main interior is definitely large enough, but there's many small items that I have to try and cram in the other available pockets.

- When the main compartment is fully unzipped, the front lining just flops right back with no real structure. Since the front contains an inner pocket, if the zipper of that pocket happens to be open, then items are liable to fall right out when the front fabric flops over.

- No fleece lining in any pockets, despite having two tablet/laptop pockets. It was never advertised as such, but it is disappointing not to see any refinements like this, especially for the cost.

Overall this bag seems more like a generic department store backpack. If it were a quarter of the price, I'd say it was great. But the cons I've pointed out make it feel like they were cutting a lot of corners, which I don't find appropriate for the price. 3 out of 5 stars.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful and detailed review! We really appreciate you taking the time to share both what you liked and what could be improved — especially the notes on materials, lining, and zips. We'll definitely pass this along to our design team for consideration in future updates. Your insight helps us get better. Thanks again for supporting Rushfaster!

Needs more pockets

Needed a replacement for my work pack and this fits the bill mostly.
Wish it had more pockets to put things and a place for a pen.
Guess Rushfaster blonde this as they have just released the pro version.

Thanks for the feedback, David! Glad the EDC Backpack mostly fits the bill for work. Appreciate you sharing your thoughts!
